Cool Springs Announces New Partnership With Century Soccer

Have you ever been friends with someone for so long that they practically become a member of your family? That’s exactly how we feel about our friends at Century Soccer. When we first met the leadership team and felt their passion for making a positive impact on young athletes, well, we knew we were going to get along great right from the start. Today we add a new chapter to the book and proudly announce that Cool Springs is the official home, preferred partner and exclusive practice field of the elite Century Soccer organization. We’re proud to have their amazing team in our family and we are overjoyed to be an extension of theirs as well. So, what makes Century Soccer the perfect partner for Cool Springs?

Focused on training players to approach life with determination and optimism is what makes Century Soccer so special. Century Soccer is organized and run by a board of directors along with the support of an established administration team of Pat Vereb, Mike Blatz, Dave Gray, Dave Molisee and Larry Fingers. They work in collaboration with each other to design and create programs and curriculum that develop the needs of all players in the club. A team such as this, with a great reputation and long-time history in the area, has great appeal to those entering or experienced in the sport. The result is 600+ players coming together to form over 48 boys and girls teams with each athlete absolutely dedicated to the club, the sport and most importantly, the leaders who mentor them.

When asked what makes Century Soccer the perfect choice for parents in search of the right club to join, Pat Vereb President of Century Soccer,  responded, “It is imperative to get involved with a club who has the depth of licensed coaches we have here at Century. This type of atmosphere will be a key factor in a player’s development.” True to his sentiment, last season the club staffed eight teams with USSF “A” licensed head coaches and 22 teams with USSF National licensed head coaches. Not only will your child learn from the most talented stfaff in the region, but they will have the opportunity to meet kids from other townships and have the chance to make an impact in the community as well. Thanks to Century Soccer, players gather supplies for troops deployed overseas and collect gently used soccer equipment for developing countries in need. These values transcend the field to make a true influence in the lives of kids looking to belong to not only to a team, but a community.

Century Soccer’s enthusiasm and heritage in the sport are mirrored by our passionate leaders here at Cool Springs, who continue the legacy of serving the South Hills community across generations of residents. To industry leader and Cool Springs Sports Manager, Steve Bonenberger, the complement of the two programs working side by side could not be more in sync.

“It is our goal to support the community and townships in any way possible. These local programs transform athletes and teach skills that go beyond the field. We hope to be the answer to players and schools looking to offer additional programming and facilities in support of their existing programs. Our partnership with Century Soccer is truly inspirational and is what drives us to be better coaches and leaders on and off the field,” says Bonenberger.

Originally the Owner of i9 Sports along with partner and Program Manager Evan Siddall, Steve joins Cool Springs with nearly a decade of experience in youth sports programming and an established partnership with Century Soccer. Both Steve and Evan have recently made the transition to leaders at Cool Springs Sports, the in-house youth and adult sports league programs at Cool Springs.

Delighted to finally call Cool Springs home, Century Soccer President, Pat Vereb, speaks openly to his enthusiasm and pride regarding the transition of this longstanding relationship to an official partnership.

Both organizations have a similar mindset in growing the game of soccer in the tri-state area. Our coaching roster is by far the most licensed in the area, and like the staff at Cool Springs, we believe our experience and coaching education can benefit the tremendous young talent that flows through the state-of-the-art facility at Cool Springs,” says Vereb.

With well established relationships in the community and with each other, both Century Soccer and Cool Springs are aimed to strengthen team sports in Bethel Park, Pennsylvania and the surrounding area through challenging programs lead by the area’s most experienced and licensed coaches. Century Soccer and Cool Springs Sports offer dynamic training and inclusive team building in a safe and fun environment under the roof of Cool Springs aimed at athletes of all skill levels and ages. The expansion of the programs and this partnership for 2017 will be announced on both the and websites over the coming months.  So, check back soon to ensure you’re ready to get in the game!
